INGREDIENTS
For chocolate brownie base:
 200 g Pitted datessoaked in hot water for 20 minutes
 100 g Almond butter
 100 g Almond meal
 50 g Cacao powder
 30 g Coconut oil
 30 g Maple syrup
 1 pinch Salt
Chocolate layer:
 200 g Dark chocolate
 30 g Coconut oil
 ¼ cup Cacao nibs
METHOD
Chocolate brownie base:

Place the pre soaked pitted dates along with almond butter, almond meal, cacao powder, coconut oil, maple syrup and salt into a food processor and blitz for 1-2 minutes until it is fully combined and forms a sticky dough.

Transfer the dough mix into a lined 20x20cm square baking pan and press the brownie mix evenly along the base. Set aside.

Chocolate layer:

Roughly chop and melt the dark chocolate along with coconut oil in the microwave or bain marie.

Pour chocolate over the brownie layer and top with cacao nibs.

Place the tray in the fridge for 4-6 hours or overnight until the slice has set fully. Cut and enjoy when ready.

Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
